PSP Gift Bag for SidB

For my 1st month-a-versary with my husband (then boyfriend) in Dec 2010, I didn't want to give him anything personal (watch, shirt, perfume, etc), as we were dating only for a month, so I decided to buy him PSP video games.

But, as I love wrapping my gift in a special way, I couldn't just hand over the games in regular wrapping, so I created this gift bag for him.

I gave him 3 games - God of War (Ghost of Sparta), Dante's Inferno and Syphon Filter Logan's Shadow (I have no idea what they are about, but his best friend helped me pick them up).
So I chose the pictures from the video game and made the below image to make the bag with.
I, then colour printed the image and folded it into a bag.
For the handle, I chose blue, black and white satin ribbon and braided them into a string, punched holes in the bag and tied the string on the inside.

His reaction: He was clearly more intrigued by the games, than the gift bag!!! (Men will never change)
But I am still glad I made it, and I am posting this on his B'day today, to let him know that I appreciate the support he gives for my craft (even though he didn't pay attention to the bag then).

Blissful Birthday SidB.

Happy (Naughty) Easter...

I have been so bombarded (inspired) with Easter craft and projects made by my fellow crafters, that I couldn't help but make something based on Easter, but I didn't want to stick to the stereotypical cards/eggs(nothing wrong with them, each one is gorgeous in its own self, but I wanted to do something different), so I made this gift wrapping paper.

It is a Playboy bunny and Playmate themed vintage paper with 'Happy Easter' written on it.
I used Playboy bunny instead of the Easter bunny and the Playmate is wearing bunny ears (which is my way of capturing Easter).

I used this to paper to wrap my friend Chrissa's gift

I made a paper bag with a satin tie (I love using tie on a gift wrap)

I colour printed the design and pasted the ends horizontally.

I then pasted the bottom, inserted the gift and folded the top and finally added the satin tie.

I hope my friend likes her wrapping as much as her gift..

PERSONALIZED!!!

I enjoy wrapping my gifts more than buying them.. {wrapping isn't as expensive as gifting  ;-) }

Hence, for my best friend's b'day, I made this personalised paper design with his name and his age..

I colour printed the design on a glossy paper and wrapped his gift in it...

But I wasn't done yet, I was craving to do more, so I made this paper design (without personalisation)

And made a bag of it to give his gift in...

But I still wasn't done...(I am forever greedy to make more) so I designed these personalised papers..

But as I only had 1 gift for him, I didn't use these...

This designing process triggered an avalanche of paper designs in my mind, which I will share with you in my future post..

Till then Happy Gifting (and Wrapping)
